• NO SMOKING IN THE CABIN! If you must smoke, please go outside and do so with caution.
  
• LOCAL CALLS ARE FREE AND UNLIMITED. The phone number is 706-781-2078. There is no long distance service provided. You must use a cell phone or calling card for long distance.
  
• DIRECT TV, TV AND VCR are all accessed by the universal remote. The TV and VCR should always be on Channel 3. Direct TV instructions are in the drawer on the outside of the kitchen counter.
  
• ENJOY THE FIREPLACE. Be sure that the flue is open. There is plenty of wood so help yourself. The box on the lower porch contains newspaper and kindling. Please help gather kindling to replenish our supply.
  
• THE DRIVEWAY is steep. Accelerate smoothly and maintain a steady speed when going up. Never try to back up the hill.
  
• SOAP, PAPER TOWELS AND TOILET PAPER are under the upstairs sink. Help yourself.
  
• ENJOY THE CANDLES! Please burn them with caution. Trim the wicks prior to lighting.
  
• FLASHLIGHTS, LIGHT BULBS and EXTRA CANDLES are located in the end table in the living room.
  
• WINDOW UNITS FUNCTION AS AIR CONDITIONERS OR HEATERS. Please help us to be energy efficient by turning them off when you are out of the cabin for extended periods of time. The loft bedroom will remain comfortable if you keep the door closed after turning off the unit. There is no central heat or air conditioning.
  
• CLEANING SUPPLIES are located in the kitchen under the sink and upstairs under the sink. Buckets and rags are in the basement. The vacuum cleaner is in the guest room closet.
  
• LAUNDRY SUPPLIES are provided for washing the cabin linens. Feel free to do your personal laundry but please provide your own laundry products.
  
• DEHUMIDIFIERS are in the basement. In the absence of central air conditioning, it gets humid in the summer. Please feel free to use them.
  
• SPACE HEATERS are in the guest room closet.
  
• CLEAN LINENS are in the upstairs linen closet. Use as needed but please put back in proper place. Extra sheets may be found in the dresser drawers in the guest room or under the beds in the basement bedroom.
  
• PARKING is available for up to 4 vehicles. In extremely wet weather, the lower half of the driveway gets slippery. A parking space is available part of the way up the driveway marked by blue reflectors.
  
• HELP YOURSELF to condiments and spices.
  
• SMALL CRITTERS inhabit our forest. Occasionally you will see a mouse or a squirrel in the cabin. Mouse traps are in the basement. Please do not leave food uncovered.
  
• UNION COUNTY IS A DRY COUNTY so you may want to BYOB. There are package stores in Blue Ridge and Young Harris.
